“Was picked up from just outside our hotel and taken to the site. Rode 4 wheelers, then had some of tastiest tacos, chocolate and then learned how tequila is made. Had some wonderful tequila all of this led by a wonderful tour guide. Went to Coco Beach which unfortunately had lots of seaweed or something near the entrance so we were not able to go into ocean. Had a wonderful tasty lunch and were returned to our hotel. Everyone was so incredibly amazing and such an amazing experience!”

It was blustery and cold and even so he managed to make it a lovely and warm experience for us, including my five-year-old daughter. Some highlights for us were Luis’s immense knowledge about the history and ecosystem of the island. We saw so many beautiful birds, iguanas, crocodiles (both sunning and swimming!) and coatis. The beaches were pristine and the cenote was a bonus! Luis was particularly good with our child—kind and consistently catering to her interests. She says “I highly recommend Luis!””

A little hard to find the place if you are coming without transport from cruise ship then you have to find the Uvas Beach club and check in with the front desk there. If you want to be comfortable and plan to swim at the beach club it’s easiest to just wear swimsuit. There are rental lockers at the beach club and areas to change clothes. This tour also included a brief tequila tour and that was quite fun to learn the history and try really good tequila. I had a great day…”
