Review of a full-day Riviera Maya tour combining Tulum ruins, reef snorkeling, a cenote swim, tacos, and hotel transport.

“The entire experience was great: Tulum, snorkeling and cenote. The guide Ulrick was very informative and safe. The ride to and from was not too long and comfortable. Compared to other tours we took, this was a joy. We highly recommend it.”

Review of Tulum ruins, Akumal turtle snorkeling, and Yax-Muul cenote tour, with honest advice on timing, costs, swimming, and value.

“My wife and I just had the most incredible experience on this excursion, and we owe so much of it to our amazing tour guide, Alejandro. From start to finish, he went above and beyond to make sure we had the trip of a lifetime. Swimming with the sea turtles in Akumal Bay was absolutely breathtaking. Alejandro knew exactly where to take us, and within minutes we were gliding alongside these gentle, majestic creatures in crystal-clear water. It was one of those pinch-me moments you never forget. He was also very mindful about respecting the turtles and the environment, which we really appreciated. The cenote visit was pure magic. Stepping…”

Review of a Tulum ruins, cenote, and Akumal turtle tour from Playa del Carmen, with honest advice on cost, crowds, guides, and what to bring.

“Excellent tour. Nice minibus, polite and helpful driver (Cesar) and superb guide (Yaris). Lunch a bit late considering we were on the move from early morning, so best bring snacks. Photographs and videos were pricey, but you really need a GoPro, as trying to using your phone is just impossible.”

Review of the Tulum ruins tour from Cancun and Riviera Maya, with guide quality, extra fees, travel times, tips, and honest value advice.

“Did not meet expectations. We only got around 50 minutes of guide time, including our 45 min drive to and from tulum when our guide was playing on her phone instead of informing us of the mayan culture. We were supposed to have two hours of a guided tour but were told to spend 1.25 hours wandering on our own (with no narrative at the site) or visit the tacky tourist shops. Don't bother with this tour.”

Review of Tulum ruins, private cenotes, tequila, snorkeling, and Mexican lunch on a small-group tour priced at $208.63.

“One of the best tours we’ve experienced! Daniel was a great guide with his knowledge of Tulum and attentiveness to all of us. The Tulum Ruins by boat was amazing with the swimming and snorkeling. The Cenotes locations were beautiful. The authentic taco lunch at a local restaurant was really good! Our absolute favorite part was the company only provides tours in “small groups”!! Which definitely makes the experience so much better! We would definitely book with Authentic Tours again!!”
