“Fascinating tour of the ruins. Knowledgeable guide. However, the AC compressor in the ceiling of the bus leaked on our heads the entire ride to the ruins. Unable to sit in those same seats on the return trip, we took our kids' seats, and they sat on our laps the one-hour trip back. We were told that the bus leaves one hour after docking and we waited an additional hour past that time for late comers, which shortened our visit to both locations.”

Water still had a lot of seaweed, but there was a little area for us to wade in. They had kayaks for us to take out and look at the reefs, which was cool.”

We recommend Frank and Miguel should you visit the ruins. This personal tour was the way to go then being in a large group. We were never rushed and did what we wanted.”

“Our guide was very knowledgeable of the ruins and Mayan history in general. There is about 30 to 40 min walk to the ruins but some benches available if you need to sit down for a bit. We stopped on the way back at a roadside stand for some honey pineapple that was very good. Bring bug spray because mosquitoes might be an issue. Overall, if you want to learn some history on the area then this trip is for you.”
